Stitched especially for Spring a sweet trio of pinkeep eggs, patterns by Pineberry Lane and a tulip & bunny spring sampler pin keep made from a pattern by Shelly Auen

Stitched onto 32 count Belfast Linen aged with walnut ink and using DMC floss in muted shades of pale blue, mustard and brown/green, featuring Quaker style letter and spring motif, rag stuffed for an authentic feel.

E is for Egg

Heritage Hornbook
£45


Cross stitched using Weeks Dye Works Floss shade Teal Frost onto pre-aged 36ct Edinburgh Raw Linen and then attached onto 3mm ply wood. 

Hornbooks were used as a primer to study and originated in England as long ago as 1450.
This particular Hornbook reflects colonial style images and was made using a pattern by Trenner Needleworks and measures approx 4.75 inches x 4.75 inches including handle.

 Cross stitched front with A, B, C, D, E & F onto 32ct aged linen, the rest of the bird is made using linen fabric from Family Heirloom Weavers based in the US.  All body seams have tiny cross stitch detail.


The opposite side the bird shows the linen with one wing and tail feather detail, entirely rag stuffed and with gusset to sit totally unaided.
Approx measurements are: height 3 inches, length 6 inches

Thanks to Stacy Nash Primitives for the original pattern design, however I added a "gusset" to allow the bird to stand.

Early Folk Art Bird

The bird body is made from an aged mustard printed fabric, sewn and stuffed with tiny cross stitch detail to all body seams.


The wings and tail feather are made from a dark brown printed cotton fabric, which have also been aged.

Approx measurements are: height 3 inches, length 6 inches

Thanks to Stacy Nash Primitives for the original pattern design, however I added a "gusset" to allow the bird to stand.
